your guide to local food in Vermont's Addison, Chittenden, Franklin, Grand Isle, and Rutland counties
The Local Growers Guide is a joint project of the UVM Center for Rural Studies and the Winooski Natural Resources Conservation District to raise awareness about local food sources, link customers to local products, and support local farms. This guide includes farmer-submitted information about their farms, their products, and where they sell. You can search the guide by town, product (organically grown, certified organic, or conventional), farm name, and sales outlet.
The Local Growers Guide started with listings from Chittenden and Washington counties. We are working with the Northwest Regional Planning Commission and the Addison County Relocalization Network (ACORN), and Rutland Area Farm & Food Link to expand the online Local Growers Guide in Addison, Franklin, Grand Isle and Rutland counties.
Working with local and regional food and farm organizations to include each area’s farms onto the site creates an accessible way for the organizations to provide a comprehensive, searchable online resource for their producers and consumers.
This website complements the comprehensive, searchable websites that state-wide organizations like NOFA Vermont and Vermont Fresh Network already have for their members. For a list of local growers guides for other counties and additional local food resources, visit the Vermont Agency of Agriculture Finding Local Foods site.
Download PDFs of the print Chittenden and Washington Local Growers Guides, or pick one up at local stores, farmers’ markets, and other locations.
